Inspired by the 12 Days of Bridgerton, one of my moots Laura (@LauuuuB on X) started a 12 Days of Penelope's Season 3 Dresses: Yellow Dresses Version, in which she goes in and edit's one of Pen's dresses voted on Twitter (X) each morning, into a beautiful yellow version.
I too, was Inspired myself by her stunning photos, and wondered what those moments would look like between Penelope and Colin if her dress was yellow?!

Everyone always says to double-check who you’re texting; especially when it's something you'd never want a certain someone to see. But did Penelope Featherington listen? Of course not.
Fresh off a disastrous date, one she should have never agreed to go on; she was venting to both Eloise and Colin in separate texts… or so she thought. One chaotic post-date rant later, she fires off a message response meant for Eloise, and only Eloise....accidentally going straight to Colin.
And while she’s blissfully unaware of her texting mishap, Colin is now having a full-on internal meltdown, practically foaming at the mouth by what she just wrote. The "not so causal mention" of lip liner shades and nipples, is all he can think about. Suddenly, those “totally platonic, we are just friends, best friends” feelings he’s been pretending not to have? Yeah… not so platonic after all. He’s basically one raised eyebrow away from combusting.

“Only got the one room left, I’m afraid,” says the older woman. “The storm, you see. It’s stranded a bunch of travelers just like yourselves.
“The one room will suit us perfectly,” Colin says with as much confidence as he can muster. He steps closer to Penelope, smiling at her as he holds a hand out for her to take, imploring her to play along with his eyes. “Don’t you agree, darling?”
For her part, Penelope looks a little stunned by the term of endearment, but she doesn’t miss a beat as she slips her hand into his.
“Yes. I believe it will, husband,” she replies.

“Oh…um…of course, I’d love to help you, Pen,” he said quietly before adding, “but, I’m not sure how?” His massive frame shrunk, shy and hesitant – a stark contrast to the typically poised, confident Colin Bridgerton she knew.
“Well, I think the biggest challenge is going to be…positioning. My characters have a height difference, kind of like you and me.” She could feel her cheeks flush at her admission, but she bravely continued. “If we could just…simulate various positions–clothes on and everything…that might help?”

Summary
A warmth spread through her, consuming her, until even the air seemed too thick to draw into her lungs. She pressed her palms against her knees, as though to steady herself, yet her mind would not be stilled. She saw again that brief flash of his smile, the one that had undone her entirely, and her breath trembled.
