Beautiful lil' fic that satisfies the Rearden/d'Aconia ship that resides within the soul. Hits the Rand style head-on: beautiful imagery and the "he understood instantly" with complementary visual, accompanied by the dusting of Rand's moral philosophy without getting too pedantic and pokes at the book itself. If this was a series, I'd read it until the end of time.
