Summary
Boothill tips his head back against the fence post. His hat is … somewhere. Probably still in the IPC mining compound, right there with half his right hand and a couple pints of oil and cooling fluid. His next sigh is wet, speaks to something he can’t fix out here in the sticks. At least it’s pretty, fireflies rising like sparks over the ridge.
There’s a wolf at the edge of the trees, silhouetted against the bleeding sky. The dusky light catches on its eyes, dark with a hunger that has Boothill reaching for his gun with the arm that still works.

Summary
Evanescia and Robin were once a couple, but they had to part from one another due to Robin going on tour, and Evanescia becoming the overviewer of the Phantasmoon Games. Suddenly, Robin was invited by Pearluxe Corp. to attend the Phantasmoon Games, and after the Charmony Festival's fall, she decides to depart to Planarcadia and face these games head-on.
She feels some sort of connection with this place, but she can't remember why.

Sat in a clearing a little ways off the park trail was the most beautiful man Ashveil had ever seen, whose cascade of snow white hair appeared impossibly soft despite the distance and whose impossibly handsome face radiated gentility as he fed a gathered flock of birds, an equally fluffy cat of the same brilliant shade of white lying beside him.
…I’m going to blame Himeko’s coffee for this one, because there’s no way in hell someone that pretty is real
When Ashveil encounters an impossibly ethereal man on a late night walk he chalks it up to a sleep deprivation induced hallucination, because really how could anyone be that pretty? Imagine his surprise when he encounters the man again the next day at his goddaughter’s school (and I’m sure you can guess the rest from here XD)
Alternatively: I am determined to give these two old men a wonderful retirement
