Alex's guest is a member of the Order of Antinous, a tradition going back generations to when men fought for the glory of gods, not kings or queens. Before battle, these men would travel to the camps and select certain soldiers upon whom to bestow their blessings. Which was a very nice way of saying they sucked cock like champions and called it a favor from the gods.
He mutters, “I’m not in the mood for this.”
The visitor smiles and removes his cloak. “I have never known a man who wasn’t.”
Alex has no reason to doubt him. He’s a great deal more handsome than other men in his position. There are few men who would not eagerly accept what he’s come to offer. Except for Alexander the Preoccupied, of course.
