The story is very well written.
The focus is all on The Tony/JJ relationship and their personal lives, no real focus on cases or crime-solving. And it does this very well making a relaxing, low tension read. The only issue I have is that to create some kind of workplace tension in the story they use a worst-case, mild-bashing interpretation of the entirety of the main NCIS cast (with the exception of Tony).
It's done well with some logic to it and there are no angry author rants or anything but if none of them come off well and they have little role in the story other than as background irritants causing problems.
