Wei Wuxian dies during the First Siege. 13 years later he's forced back into the land of the living, into flesh and bone, but...different than the one he knew. Here he meets their versions of Cultivators. He meets their version of Jiang Cheng and Lan Wangji.
Now Wei Wuxian has two major problems (on top of the hundred other little ones):
1.) What attacked and contributed to Mo Xuanyu's death?
2.) What happened to this world's Wei Wuxian?

Summary
A year after the lectures in Gusu, Lan Wangji and Wei Wuxian shared their first kiss in secret at an inn. And then their second and third and then one more and one more until they lost count. They laid together in the same bed that night, arms around each other, sharing breath as they pressed their foreheads together. There they made plans for how they would tell their families. They decided to wait until the Cultivator Conference in Qishan. They’d ask after the last competitions. When everything else was out of the way and only festivities remained. After that they’d be able to stop hiding. They’d be able to meet whenever they wanted. They’d have each other. Forever.
But it did not happen like that, at the competition everything went wrong.
