Summary
Mike is searching for a job while crashing with his brother Murro after his circus gig goes under, and while trying to apply to a job he encounters a familiar face who offers a discount on groceries for sex in a locker room. Then when he manages to find a job (elsewhere) he finds it more fulfilling than his other jobs, but he would prefer to be on a bed and not a desk.

Summary
At the end, the moments of those that mean the most live on in memory and near the end they are looked on fondly. As such, Lagertha had no regrets for taking in the baby she found that night, and knew the day she had to leave him, he'd always shine like a star in her memories no matter where they went.
Yet, as she looks back fondly on her time with her son, to distance herself from the pain, to strengthen her resolve to not give in to ensure her son was safe... those precious memories lead to more pain, and when it becomes so engrained, the pain of her own memory blurs with the pain of her reality.

Summary
For her stake in a duel, Suletta is put on the spot and declares she'll have a night to get to know Elan better. Ignoring the snickers and few jealous looks, she laments over this, fearing it will be awkward despite him agreeing to an outing to celebrate his birthday. But as they meet for their night, she remembers a game she was told about back on Mercury, by two helpful adults in a closet, that can help her get closer with Elan-San.
Elan is very doubtful of this claim but can't say no to her.

Summary
The manor guests have been given time off from matches and allowed to visit a beach for some fun and relaxation, but the heat is getting to the prospector Norton in more ways than one. Add being around a certain acrobat that is happily playing in the water in shorts that cling a bit too nicely to his ass when wet, and Norton is feeling very frustrated.
Fortunately Mike has just the way to help him cool off.

Unable to resist such a tempting sight he decides to have some fun in the middle of a match, despite the man's protests.
Matthias pays him back after.

Cruelness and death was something he grew accustomed to ever since he could think for himself. He's seen what happens to sobbing children who crumble, to the foolhardy who boldly challenged the monstrous adults that stalked them. He has seen the brave crying and pleading for help before being whisked away in a giant fist. He knew that strength in numbers was a fleeting advantage when their spirits could be crushed so soundly with little effort. He had refused to die like that, to be at the mercy of some grinning or deformed monstrosity that delighted in feeble struggles and screams. He had gotten so far too.
Then that damn Ferryman showed up.
A bargain was made, the bastard apparently liked the way he survived for so long. A guaranteed childhood where he wouldn't have to hide, run, or kill. All he had to do was use the very same tools and designs that kept him breathing to damn other children like him. The choice was simple, the events that followed said choice were anything but.

Taking care of 36 children who have been starved of any and all love and affection for years. He felt responsible for their plight, so he resolved to make their voyage to the mainland a memorable one.
