“What are you doing?”
He jumped, turning to the nearby alleyway to find… Spiderman? He was stuck to the wall, peering down at Mike with his wide eyes, head cocking to the side, the four spindly legs that came from his back twitching occasionally. Weird.
“You lost?”
“I… what? No. I’m looking for my friend. He’s kinda short, with brown hair and a bad haircut. Always in flannel and is a complete dumbass.”
Spider-man squinted. “And why’s that?”
“Because he decided to go on a walk at night, alone.”
One of his eyes widened. “Aren’t you doing the same thing?”
Mike spluttered, crossing arms protectively over his chest. “Well- it- it’s for a noble cause! He’s also sick! He might be passed out in an alleyway or something!”
“… how about this. I’ll walk you home then I’ll find your friend for you? I’ll bring him right back to you. Yeah?”
