    “This is making me so nervous…” Vodyanitsa thinks to herself. Her heart was positively pounding. She hoped her face looked normal, but if there was anyone who could tell she was feeling ‘unusual’, it’d be Odette, right?

    …wait no, that’s not right. If that was true, then shouldn’t she have noticed that Vodyanitsa has a crush on her?! Shouldn’t she have noticed that like forever ago?! Or maybe well about 1-2 years ago when it started, but still.

    “Mrghhhh, I know I wasn’t so so obvious with it, but it’s still frustrating!” Vodyanitsa thinks to herself, subconsciously starting to pout, “Aren’t I cute? And charming? Why haven’t you just fallen for me already?!”

    Before she thinks twice, Odette reaches out and swipes away the snowflake clinging onto the corner of Vodyanitsa’s lips, lest she finally succumb to the cold. Consequently Vodyanitsa’s head settles into the bridge between Odette’s clavicle and her neck, and she feels the girl’s breath hitch against her skin. It feels so incredibly natural, she thinks, as if her body had been crafted in the womb to have Vodyanitsa’s head rest there.

    “You two,” Alyosha mutters under his breath from where he’s been watching the entire past minute unfold, “are so fucking hopeless.”
