Summary
King’s Gambit is one of the oldest known chess moves. White sacrifices a pawn on move two, in an attempt to eliminate black’s central pawn. It is played with the sole aim of achieving an all-out attack on the opponent’s monarch. If black, stupidly, tries to hold onto a pawn of their own, then white can develop rapidly, and aim for a devastating attack on the enemy.
Burnt and betrayed, Aegon’s only motivation is the survival of him and his daughter. Soon, however, that will change, for Essos remains the continent of magic. Summary
Helaena Targaryen is a good Queen, a good wife and a good mother. She had a lot of practice of course, she had been all those things for most of her life. A wife at three and ten. A mother at four and ten. A Queen at twenty. It would be rather embarrassing if she was not decent at it by now.
She doesn’t know how she became good at all those things, so if you were to ask, she would not be able to answer. If you truly want to figure it out, she supposes one has to start at the beginning.
