Joel was grateful he had such a tight knit group of people who saw each other as either family or close friends because they watched each others’ backs and knew how to work together as a team. Joel fortunately only had to fight the enemy captain, but the fight wasn’t any easier. The captain was older than him by a good decade and he was a good swordsman. His fighting style was brute forcing his way, leaving Joel to mostly do defense and not letting him get a hit in while he had multiple cuts on his arms and legs “
