Some things never change, come hell or high water. Mimzy was a force that was comfortably familiar. In both life and death Alastor had a soft spot for her. She was his girl. Summary
Power gave you respect, and Vox had made sure to gain enough power to never be questioned. He told people what to think, not the other way around. Alastor on the other hand moved through life uncaring about his image or holding himself to the standards others set. Vox always envied Alastor's self assuredness and determination to be himself despite the ever changing societal standards. It’s what he admired about him most.

For once it seemed like Vox was too busy to bother Alastor for sex or introduce a new toy into their bedroom. Summary
