Summary
Many years have passed since the events of the game, Ellie and Joel are still living in the compound. America is beginning to rebuild itself, building trade routes with towns expanding. Joel falls ill and the town cannot get the medicine he needs. But when a group of couriers arrive and give her the chance to travel to Vancouver to get the drugs Joel needs Ellie is forced to leave the town and travel across America once again.

Summary
eight months after the end of season two and Van has no clue how the hell she ended up where she is but it's time for her and Tai's first weekend having Sammy over night. It's a journey for Van from start to finish as she figures out how to manage her place in the dynamic, interacting with an eight year old and the fact that she was called a bonus mom before the day even started.
AKA I am obsessed with the concept of Van having a step mom era and so I wrote it because I fear the writers won't give it to me.
