Clark eventually, begrudgingly, separates himself on his own. You’re still close, though, smoothing a thumb over a flushed cheek. “Bad day at work?” you ask, and Clark squints like he’s thinking. He rounds the couch and plops himself into the corner, taking off his glasses and running a hand through tousled hair. -
