What if Chip, Jay and Gillion met when the world was young?
The war has ended. In actuality, it had ended months before, but the Kingdom of the Undersea clung to life as it was hacked to pieces by the Queen’s militia. All that remains of the kingdom are the few survivors invited to live in the over for service to the Overseas empire. But now, Jay Ferin sits on a throne that swallows her whole, as she grapples with familial conflicts old and new.
Now, Chip leaves the echo of who was once his brother. With nothing but the clothes on his back and with old friends in high places, he resumes his search for the worst thing that ever happened to him.
Now, Gillion Tidestrider, Prophetic Hero of the Undersea, mourns the loss of a kingdom he couldn’t save, now nothing more than a disappointment to his people and a subservient to the people who took everything away from him. But, when his shortcomings cost him his home, people, and faith, he is met with a second chance where he’d least expect it. Can Gillion do what must be done for his people, or will he fold under the unbearable weight that is the genuine kindness of another?
