Having, in the past, lingered a little too long over Viktor's shoulder, Jayce knew this was not the first time he'd appreciated his partner's musk— had thought he'd just liked the scent of anise and cream chalk. Now he knew it was because it was Viktor, it was his essence. God, he was in love, it was both a miracle and a curse he hadn't folded sooner.

When he’s jolted awake, violently, by the line of text he reads on one of the papers in his hands:
He wasn't the only one who was feral, and he felt an unbelievable rush as Viktor rocked his hips back, so that the crease of his bare ass was sliding up and down against Jayce's aching erection.
And all thoughts of leaving this for tomorrow fly out the window.
Just replaced by stunlock and goosebumps, as Jayce gapes at the words sitting on that page like they’re supernatural.

Viktor lives a quiet life, mostly work and hobbies and spending time with his friend Sky. He's fought for it, so he's happy here! Maybe it's a little lonely, but that's okay.

In which—to Jayce’s horror—someone is writing very popular, very raunchy, very unauthorized romance novels about Piltover’s newest celebrity, Jayce is not a virgin but it’s been so long since he got laid he might as well be, and Viktor is not a shirtless, muscular hero from the cover of a romance novel but that isn’t stopping Jayce from imagining him as one.
