“So what happens if you eat octopus?” Bakugou asks nonchalantly.
“Katsuki,” Todoroki says like a warning, confusing Tamaki as to why he seems defensive about Bakugou’s question.
He’s used to this line of questioning, after all: what happens if you eat this animal? Or maybe that animal? Some questions get a little strange, like the time he was asked what would happen if he ate human meat, and, well— he’s really not sure. It’s a question that still haunts him from time to time.
“Oh, um,” Tamaki starts, tugging nervously at his hair. “I get tentacles.”
Bakugou nearly chokes on his drink, and Todoroki’s face is a peculiar shade of red when he elbows Bakugou directly in the ribs. They are a very strange pair, Tamaki concludes.
“So like, what happens when you eat ass?”
“Katsuki.”

Abruptly, like a bolt of lightning, he realized he actually had the chance to find out.”
(Or: that one where Bakugou has temporary amnesia and Todoroki is tasked with caring for him until his memory returns, but ends up falling in love with the part of Bakugou that Bakugou has always kept hidden away instead.)

The back of his palm is pressed completely against Shouto’s, twitching every time someone leaves the arena to join the crowd upstairs, as if he were fighting the urge to intertwine their fingers again. When Shouto sneaks a glance at him, however, Katsuki doesn’t meet his gaze, keeping his jaw set and eyes fixed forward.
If the tension in the room is thick, then the one between them is nothing short of palpable.

Summary
It has been a long time since he's given in to his own feelings, promising the other sweet nothings and willing to sacrifice anything for him. Deep down inside his heart, he has this solid faith that Katsuki would do the same and break out of his fear. Shouto holds onto it even when he knows everything is crumbling down.
He is tired of hiding and Katsuki has a problem with relentless anxiety.
