Summary
When she lands, she’s at a cabin of sorts. It blends in with the environment and Kara thinks she might be in the wrong place. Nothing here looks suspicious. But then she hears voices and Lena’s short, shallow breaths. She wants to rush towards the sounds, to make sure Lena is safe, but she’s frozen in her spot when she hears Lex say it.
“Kara Danvers is Supergirl.”
He sounds weak, the words are gasps more than anything else but to Kara, they are the sounds of a dying world. She stops breathing, her limbs suddenly feel leaden. She wants to burst into the cabin, but she can’t move. She needs to see Lena. She needs to explain. Suddenly, she feels sick to her stomach. Kara knows she should have told Lena long ago, but the fact that it’s Lex in the end who shares her secret is too much. Images of Lena’s face flash through her mind as she imagines the shock and pain Lena must be feeling in that very moment.
But then Lena’s voice comes through, steady and calm.
“I know.”
OR: Lena knows, has known all along. Kara is trying to work out what that means for her, for them.

“Thanks for that. Not entirely necessary, but I appreciate it.”
Lena’s head snaps toward the voice and all of a sudden she is looking into the bluest eyes she’s ever seen. The woman, Kara Danvers according to the information the race officials had handed her when she arrived for the medal presentation, looks flushed and a little disheveled, but is smiling brightly at Lena.
“Not necessary? He was practically grabbing your butt.”
Kara shrugs. “Not the first time that’s happened during a podium presentation, and won’t be the last. It’s part of the job, unfortunately.”
“It’s part of your job to be groped by men like Edge?”
Another shrug. “At least I usually also get kisses from the podium girls, so it evens out?”
Lena frowns. “What?”

Summary
The first time Lena asks Kara out for dinner, Kara is honestly more than a little surprised. They barely know each other outside of a couple of interviews she did with Lena, and that one time Kara saved Lena’s life, but then again that was Supergirl and not Kara Danvers. They definitely don’t run in the same circles, and Kara is secretly convinced that Lena either only hangs out with powerful businessmen or is best friends with famous actors and models and spends her weekends on some yacht in the Caribbean. Well out of her league. So when Lena invites her, Kara’s brain has trouble catching up.
“Dinner? You mean, us? You and me? At a restaurant?”
Lena looks a little amused, but there’s also something else in her eyes that Kara can’t quite place.
“Yes, a restaurant. Unless you don’t want to?"
OR: Five times they go out for dinner as friends, plus one time they realize they've been going on dates all along

Summary
“It’s a lot easier for me to keep my grip on you when I can actually feel your body.”
The phrase feel your body said in Kara’s voice rattles around in Lena’s head like a pinball machine, but she manages to shrug her sweater off and throw it somewhere behind them before she can second-guess herself. Kara is looking comfortable in a loose white t-shirt, and when she takes Lena by the waist and puts Lena’s hand on her shoulder the texture of it is light and soft.
“Let’s start from square one,” Kara says, so kindly that her next words take a few seconds to register in Lena’s brain. She tightens her grip on Lena’s waist, and says with full confidence:
“Dancing is a lot like sex.”
OR
Against her better judgement Lena agrees to compete on Dancing with the Stars for the PR boost. When her chemistry with her partner Kara gets misconstrued by the press, there’s obviously only one solution.

Lena sighed, “Look it’s not like it’s…” She hesitated wondering if they were at a stage in their renewed friendship (post-reveal, post-revenge, post-apology, post-Lex, post-sharing-your-super-secret-with-the-whole-world) to nod back to it in a gentle way. “Cool superpowers. It’s a hairband when my one snapped the day before. It’s a chocolate bar when I have low blood sugar. It’s… it’s crap.”
Kara gasped in outrage at the descriptor. “It’s not crap!”
“Kara… Come on.” Lena rolled her eyes.
