    “Please tell me you’re not that dense,” Ilya grumbled.

    “It’ll be good for her. Her recovery can’t be contingent on if a boy likes her back,” Shane reasoned, glancing at where she was talking with Marleau. It had been a better day, not a good one but better.

    “I feel like we’re missing something,” Ilya muttered, “but I can’t tell what.”

    “And it’s not our business,” Shane warned again as Julian skated over with a bright smile.
