People pay Geralt to have sex with him as well as injure/torture him. They don't pay fairly, and they don't treat Geralt well (understatement). Jaskier's father pays Geralt to spend a night with Jaskier. Jaskier finds the situation appalling. Jaskier convinces Geralt to immediately leave Kerack with him. (Jaskier is attracted to Geralt, but doesn't voice this, and Geralt is aware of it due to Witcher senses.)
