Summary
The boys belittled him, and the girls ignored him. But that didn’t matter; no one understands him anyway. When he changes, he closes his eyes. He’s only eight and already wishes that he were six feet under. As the years passed, the other boys grew taller- he stayed short. Their voices matured and became deeper while his own caused a ringing in his ears.
Ivan was not an exception to this pubescent change. By the time they were in high school, Ivan towered over his friend by much more than a few mere inches.
