Summary
"Have we ever been this close?” Seokjin suddenly blurts the question that had been lingering above them for a while and he immediately shuts his mouth realizing he asked the question out loud. His eyes are a little wide and he pulls his gaze away from Jeongguk who simply giggles and sways his feet a little, never tearing away his stare.
“No, but I like this,” Jeongguk’s voice brings Seokjin’s eyes back. “I like you.” Jeongguk’s voice is gentle, his starry eyes are fixated on Seokjin, never looking away and Seokjin’s positive his heart stops. His eyes widen once more and he’s so sure he heard wrong.
Or, Seokjin returns to his hometown for a yearly get-together and plans to finally confess his feelings to Jeongguk and officially move on, except the night goes in the total opposite of what he envisioned.
