Bracing for the next shock, Robert lined up his cue stick and shot… but the tell-tale electric jolt never came.
Leaning back to rest his arms on the table, he glanced up at his coworkers with a confused expression on his face. A quick look around made it clear Invisigal held the controller, so why hadn’t she used it?
A light smirk spread across his lips.
“What, have you finally gotten bored of-”
She flashed a bright grin, jamming her finger onto one of the controller’s buttons.

The shockwaves rippled through Robert’s neck, and this time it hurt.
With a curse, he hunched over, holding himself up on the rim of the table as he gasped sharply. A heat that had nothing to do with alcohol or the muggy air of the bar pooled low in his abdomen as he struggled to stand on his suddenly unsteady legs.

During a night at The Sardine, the Z-Team gets fed up with Robert winning every pool match. In an effort to keep things interesting, he agrees to their "debuff" of choice, a shock collar, thinking that he'll be unaffected due to his high pain tolerance. He thought wrong.
