All Jeremy ever really wanted was to be normal.
Or, rather, most fundamentally, all Jeremy really wanted was to be liked. For people to look at him and not think you’re a loser, but to see him as one of them.
To not have to feel weird when he sat in a room, because there was something about him that other people could sense that he couldn’t.
But he was never normal. He was never not weird.
He likes video games and getting stoned and Michael Mell.
He really likes Michael Mell, fucking loves him, wants to kiss him, wants to touch him, wants to be touched by him-
And Jeremy drove himself into the ground to get away from that fact. To convince himself that what he felt for Michael wasn’t a crush.
And he nearly lost the one person who has ever liked him- the one person that he really liked- in process.
(Post-Squip, Jeremy Heere is having a hard time adjusting to his own body and wants, especially when it comes to figuring out his relationship with his best friend that he's confessed he's in love with- the same friend that he abandoned for normalcy.
But if he can figure out how to talk to Michael, he might find that normal is highly overrated.)
