Sirius remembers the day the great tsunami hit.
The ground was quaking; people around him were screaming and crying out to their loved ones. It was chaos all around as the two young boys were led through the crowds by Euphemia Potter’s gentle hands. Sirius felt Regulus’s small hand slip from his, and he whipped his head around just in time to see his brother try to pick up his little shark toy.“No! Reggie, we don’t have time! Just leave it!” yelled Euphemia. Sirius knew things were bad if Effie was frazzled. A faint light began to shine over them, and he felt Effie’s hand start to tug on his.
Both boys turned to look at Effie when her eyes began to glow the same startling blue as the swirling tattoos that covered her shoulders and arms. Sirius’s hand was her only tether to the ground as she began to rise into the sky, her skin faintly glowing that same brilliant blue.

Remus Lupin sat in his bed debating his options.
On the one hand, he could stay up here, protected by charms to keep the noise out. Maybe cuddle up in his favorite sweater and warmest socks and read a nice book. Perhaps even with a cup of tea.
The second option was to go downstairs for a little, avoid the Firewhiskey and have a little fun. The problem was Sirius Black. If Sirius was down there alone it would be fine. If Sirius was down there with another girl or even worse, another boy, it would be awful. There would be no point in even trying to have fun without getting smashingly drunk.
Or the third and final option. Go downstairs and get absolutely sloshed.
