It was a chilly, autumn-turning-winter evening when Matsumae first saw Ihei.
Ihei had been alone. Sitting at one of the tables, her head was high, her eyes alert and alight with the sights around her. A first-timer, by the looks of her – and Matsumae has to admit, this scene would be a lot to take in for a first-timer – but Ihei, Ihei hadn’t looked as if it had even occurred to her to be uncomfortable.

At least she didn’t make them bring their instruments this time. Kumiko curls her toes inside her winter boots, ankles aching from the cold and the climb, and is grateful for that much. With the snow swirling around her and sticking to her face and melting into her coat, the tips of her fingers going numb, she doesn’t think she would be able to bear the added discomfort of the heavy straps of her case on her shoulders.
___Reina has a plan, and Kumiko, once again, gets caught up.

Kaneki's whole body goes warm. He can smell Hide's scent, warm and rich and compelling, watch the dilation of his pupils in deep brown irises, see the lightness of the ends of his short hair, brittle from bleach. Hide is just a bit taller than he is. He really does have a very nice face – Kaneki had noticed when he came in, but now he notices all over again.
"Hey," whispers Hide.
“Hey,” Kaneki breathes back, not daring to move or speak up.
“Are we,” Hide licks his lips, “having a Moment?”
