Nobody wants to be alone. Being alone is painful and terrifying but it's all you've ever known, as far as you can remember you always were alone and that's not going to change anytime... Because you got used to it, you got comfortable in this loneliness, you're afraid of what's beyond it... But at the same time you crave to be with someone, someone to bare that loneliness with.
Or Kishibe adopts Aki, Denji, Power and Nayuta. 4 kids with each their own trauma and issues while he deals with his own shit.
