    Summary

Mel and Od's journey to find or accept the disparate pieces of themselves, and how the other is essential to that process. Told through (relatively) short scenes in the brief grey areas of time between Mel's attempts to slay Titans.

Teaser: 'Some things she was starting to feel as holes in her, like missing teeth. Or like her missing home and blood family. So much of her life was defined by absence, by things she had never had, sensations she had never felt.

She’d never had a permanent home with stable, solid walls around her. She’d never heard the laughter of her father booming loudly through their House from another room. She’d never felt the reassuring embrace of her mother’s arms around her. She’d never been teased and tormented fondly by her older brother. She’d never felt truly safe…

Then there were the other things. The things the world had always implied that everyone would miss to the point of need if they were forced to go without. Lust. Carnal desire. Passionate love. Desperate hungers even gods could fall prey to. She hadn’t ever felt those, either, nor missed them. Not until–

“You’re looking very thoughtful there, Goddess,” Odysseus’s deep voice noted lightly.'

    Summary

In the universe with very few gifted with divinity (Aeons and so-called…gods), Aha created THEIR own little human to stay in touch with humanity.

"Laugh 'til your lungs hurt, cry your eyes out 'til there are no more tears.  Feel all the joy that life has to offer. Experience the downsides of life, and taste the full sweetness of Elation as you turn your life around. Live your life, Sampo Koski. This is the purpose Aha has given you. You can thank Aha, or not. It doesn't matter. Aha will be with Sampo either way. Whether you like it or not."

Odysseus doesn’t kill Hector’s son and flees to an island protected by Athena, who’s basically his babysitter at this point

    Summary

Odysseus washes up on the shores of Ithaca, still mourning for the family he thought he had lost, Penelope, his wife, Telemachus, his son, and Astyanax, the boy he had taken in as his own child. However, when he arrives on Ithaca things are very different from what he expected.

Perhaps he can go back home after his time at war and on the sea.

    Summary

THIS WORK IS ABANDONED. IT'S BEING REWRITTEN/UPDATED HERE: https://archiveofourown.org/works/65111416

Melinoë has somehow simultaneously experienced far more than anyone her age should have to; yet not experienced very much of life at all. As she begins to test herself more in the arts of war, venturing to the depths of the Underworld, and the tumultuous surface, interfacing with new Gods and mortals alike she realises that defeating a Titan doesn't give one any special ability to suddenly understand their own emotions. Not entirely surprising, then, that she doesn't immediately recognise the crush she has on Odysseus straight away. When she does, she makes a bit of a blunder in expressing them and discovers that real life and real love are far more complicated than the fairytale style stories she's read in books.
