Bakugo katsuki dies and Shinsou looses part of his soul. He doesn't know if it will come back even if the blonde is back and walking the halls of UA again. Bakugo is alive again but Shinsou's mark remains dead. Which wouldn't be an issue if it wasn't tearing him apart from the inside.

Katsuki is still shaking. He's sore, he's aching and his hands are still shaking even hours after the fact.
The mission had gone tits up so quickly that it took everything in him to keep a level head, to keep everyone safe, and even so, Denki still almost died.
Katsuki shakes harder when he remembers how close it had been, how close he came to losing his friend that day, all because of one fucking villain who took all of them by surprise.
He lets out a rough breath, that comes out so much more unsteady than he'd like and he needs—he needs—
There's only one thing Katsuki needs right now, one person, and he has his phone out before he can really think about it.

Summary
A small love story between Shinsou Hitoshi and Bakugou Katsuki. Angst, comfort, two assholes, a lot of cursing, some 'what-the-fuck' dry humour, gay panic, eventual getting together, and even a bit of smut at the end for extra spice.
Katsuki turned to look at him, but Hitoshi didn’t bother to meet the stare. There was nothing nice there to look at. For now at least.
“You’re cold as fuck. You know that?”
Hitoshi smiled, silently tracing the kanji on the gravestone with his eyes. “Like a corpse. Topical,” he said, not quite able to move his mouth out of the way of his foot this time. Whoops.
“Fucking hell. You did not just say that,” Katsuki wheezed.
Hitoshi smiled a bit bigger, unable to help himself. “I did. But if it’s any consolation, it happened before I could stop it and I’m vaguely ashamed of myself.”
Thankfully Katsuki snorted and started to laugh hysterically. Hitoshi closed his eyes again and felt his heart ache at the sound.
This fic is all finished, but I’ll be updating every week to allow myself some last-minute fussing.
