“I want to try something,” Lucy mumbles into their next kiss and Kate nods eagerly, craning her neck to kiss her again. Her lips find nothing but air and Lucy’s weight on her disappears, the grip on her wrists releasing. When she opens her eyes, Lucy is smiling down at her, chest heaving with shallow breaths.

Summary
Kate relaxes into the back of the car and closes her eyes. She’s exhausted but is unable to switch her brain off due to the adrenaline left in her system after the show.
Cara sits quietly beside her, aware she doesn’t need to fill the silence, aware that what Kate needs right now IS silence.
Kate has just finished the penultimate show of her yearlong tour, and has one more performance to go before the tour is over, and she can get onto her plane, fly to Hawaii and to the woman waiting for her.
A continuation fic from the first story Just Like Heaven. I'd recommend reading that one first before starting this one
