Summary
The last thing Shikamaru was expecting to see when he stepped into the Hokage's office was a six year old version of his wife. Having been hit by a powerful Otsutsuki attack, Temari is now stuck as a child for the foreseeable future and she doesn't remember a thing. Now Shikamaru must look after her to the best of his ability, trying desperately to navigate her childhood trauma while also keeping the truth of her situation from her.

Summary
When logic fails and rational thought reaches its limits, there can only be one plausible reason: feelings are involved. Shikamaru doesn't want to accept or allow them at first, yet they don't vanish as easily as he would like. From a logical standpoint, he has no chance with her: Temari was popular, successful, and came from a wealthy family. He, on the other hand, lived on a modest scholarship that made it possible for him to attend university in the first place. But what happens when heart and mind cannot come to an agreement?
