Summary
Recently I came up with the idea to write a story that is kind of a retelling of "The girl who trod on a loaf of bread"; but set in modern times, featuring original characters and a protagonist who gets to kick ass instead of being completely passive and dependent on other people to save her. Its also inspired by Coraline.

The sea-nymph sets the story straight by Valonianfool

Summary
Inspired by Ursula Vernon's "The sea witch sets the record straight". I am otherwise not too interested in greek mythology but I did gain an interest in various interpretations of Kalypso from Odysseus. Her relationship with Odysseus is interpreted as coercive on her part, which doesnt seem entirely untrue when you look at the text.
Still, I have multiple hard feelings on the matter. Just for fun, and partially because I found it an interesting challenge, I tried to write a sympathetic retelling for Kalypso.

This is just a story I wrote in order to vent about my feelings about Boa Hancock and Luffy's relationship being misrepresented by certain people in the fandom, and Hancock's character being wrongfully accused of being a "sexual predator" all because of her schoolgirl crush. It's ridiculously childish I know, but here I can be a child.

The story of Amestris, or Vashti by Valonianfool

Summary
Vashti, or Amestris tells her story after surviving for millennia as an immortal.
The premise might seem very strange, but basically I was inspired by two things: the first is how there is a large disrepancy between how many jewish feminist view Vashti vs the portrayal of her character as immodest and evil in the babylonian Talmud. Luckily, many jewish feminists have rightfully criticized these texts as sexist. A jewish person also told me that the beauty of the midrash is that you are supposed to question and reject it of you want.
The second Influence was the idea of a biblical figure becoming immortal and surviving to tell their story in the modern day.

Summary
This is a fanfic that came into my head after reading "Not just a witch" by Eva Ibbotson and "Helluva boss" by Vivziepop, one of my favourite authors. I came up with a witch who ran a shop where you could request petty revenge through magical means on anyone who wronged you, although lethal force would never be used. I am also used to assholes hiding behind woke labels to bully and harass people on tumblr. So unlike Heckie my ocs will not just attack obviously evil people like neo nazis, but "woke" assholes too.
