Buggy barely remembered a time when he did not have to tip-toe around the curse.
It was weird as fuck and a big part of him hated Captain for being the reason he was cursed in the first place, but it wasn’t like Roger had even known what they'd find on that island. It was supposed to be safe. Not end up with him and Shanks in the med bay for a week. Still, shit had gone down, as it often did with the Roger Pirates and at the end of the day Buggy ended up cursed for life because of a disgruntled rival pirate crew and an even more disgruntled witch.
Nothing to do about it other than move on. And shriek internally now and then.
So yeah, it sucked but he knew how to deal with it. Was lucky that at least the unflashy assholes who cursed him made it so he had to listen only to the commands of people he cares about. Which were precious few as it was. Most were dead, the rest had abandoned him and Buggy couldn't even tell if he gave a shit about them anymore, and his crew knew how to tiptoe around the curse.
Or 5 times people did not know Buggy was cursed + 1 time they knew and chose not to take advantage of it
