Twilight suddenly pulls back; that wretched voice dragging him back to the shackles of his dismal reality. The reality that this woman wasn’t supposed to be anything more than a pawn to him. Stop denying the inevitable. She’s keeping a secret, and you know it.
Hurt immediately floods Yor’s starlit eyes. “Why did you stop?” she whispers, plump lips slightly swollen. “Did I…did I do something wrong?”
She doesn’t deserve this. Doesn’t deserve to be touched with his filthy hands, to be kissed by a liar’s tongue. But she sighs underneath his renewed desperation, her voice calling out a name he’s grown to resent. The raised scars on her thighs scrape against his palms.
