Granger kicked Alucard in the shin and started walking away. The blonde chased after him laughing, promising to buy Granger a decent meal in the tavern if he let out another graceful squawk. He was met with Granger's gloved middle finger.
(A fic in which Granger and Alucard grew up together and decided to stick with each other even as the universe try to pry them apart. )

Granger’s appearance, even stained with blood, has a captivating allure. The way his dark clothes cling to his body, his weary eyes that stare far off into the distance with his eyelids drooping slightly. Taking his usual gamble, Alucard scoots closer to him until their shoulders touch, and he leans his head down to the junction where Granger’s neck meets his jaw, a spot he knows too well, placing a gentle kiss.
Or Alucard and Granger find a moment to themselves amidst a battle.
