Summary
Michael Guerin wants to take Maria DeLuca to Roswell High’s Autumn Ball, but Maria, like everyone else in the school, doesn’t think much of Michael and his trailer trash reputation. In order to impress her, Michael announces that he’s not only dating the unapproachable Alex Manes, but that Alex is deeply in love with him.
Determined to show Maria there’s more to Michael than meets the eye and win her affection, Michael decides to break down Alex’s barriers and get him to fall for him. But angst follows as Michael gets to know Alex and realizes his plans to make Alex love him are not only backfiring, but pushing him into a corner where telling Alex the truth could mean losing him forever.

It had always been there, Thomas supposed. It was just that he’d never had the time or the room in his brain to process it until now. They’d spent so much time planning, running, fighting; even the months they’d spent at the camp, preparing to rescue Minho and the others, were filled with too much tension to think of his own feelings. Now he’d stopped still and it had hit him full force. He knew he should be grieving their losses, and he was, but he also felt that there was so much to gain now that they had all the time in the world.
