“Corvus.” His voice was sharp as broken glass. Lena knew she had pushed her disgruntlement too far. He was losing his patience with her. She lowered her head slightly, feeling a spike of shame. Cygnus continued with all the admonishment a parent would bestow upon their child, so unlike Lena’s father but still just as parental in her mind. “This matter is not up for debate. We are doing this job whether you like it or not. Make your peace with our odds or face the consequences of your disobedience.”
