“So what if-“ His question is cut off abruptly by the sudden presence of three fingers in his mouth. He lets out a muffled “gck!” around them as his head is pushed back with the momentum. He stills, wide-eyed at the intrusion. Vergil doesn’t even look at him. His writing continues completely uninterrupted.
“I seem to recall expressing a need for silence. If you can’t control yourself, perhaps someone else should do it for you.” Oh, Dante is so game. But Vergil continues, “If you behave yourself and stay quiet and still, you’ll be rewarded.” Goddamn it, but that’s boring.
