Summary
Kuramochi is just the manager of one of the many small, obscure bars in Shimo-Kitazawa, which is barely enough to stop him from picking up a second job. He wears leather jackets and band T-shirts and rides a motorcycle. He’s only just barely a functioning member of society at twenty-seven and even doing that much leaves him feeling a little resentful.
Ryou-san is so far out of his league it should be funny. As it stands, it just leaves a bad taste in the back of Kuramochi’s throat as he fixes him his usual drink and places it far too carefully down in front of him when he’s done. All he'll ever be is Ryou-san's bartender.

Summary
For some reason, the thought of him won’t leave Terushima alone. He’s not one to fixate on a single person like this, but he wants so badly to see Kyoutani again. It’s the same reckless kind of impulse as wanting to press a finger to a knife’s edge to test the sharpness of it, or test how close you can lower your hand to an open flame before it gets too hot. He’s almost certain of the end result, but he needs to know for sure.
Terushima encounters Kyoutani Kentarou at an inter-city brawl. He's vicious and mean, teeth perpetually bared and ready to bite.

Summary
He’s pulled out of his observation by the sweet call of his name, and when he lifts his head to look, she’s already sitting on her bed. Her knees are pressed together, and looking there leads to him looking at her thighs, visible with the short skirt she’s wearing. She looks so cute, and her small hands are clutching the bed sheets beneath her.
His gut clenches, and twists in a very familiar feeling.
“Come sit,” she says, a question without inflection, as she pats the space beside her.
Painfully nervous but unable to refuse he does as he’s told, settling next to her with an almost respectable distance between them. He clasps his hands between his knees just to have something to do with them, and can’t bring himself to look at her.

He remembers the words, the teachings, remembers it all. Remembers even as he stares at Wei Wuxian, sitting on the ground, hands laying down a man’s corpse. Remembers everything, even as he stares at Wei Wuxian’s tongue, sees it lick a speck of blood off the corner of his mouth.
