Summary
It’s been months since Xehanort’s defeat, and all is well in the worlds. At least -- it should be. Though she’s returned to her role as keyblade master, all the pieces of her life and self forced back into their proper place, Aqua can’t shake the feeling that it’s only a matter of time until the other shoe drops and sends their lives back into darkness. Voices haunt her nightmares, the loudest of which is her own, and she fears being consumed by darkness she knows persists within her.
Memories of a chance encounter surface along with the woman responsible for it, and questions rise that neither is willing to answer, not the least of which is what might have happened had fate taken a different path. Will the culmination of these forces prove devastating?
