Summary
The land's magic is fading, bleeding out; the wind stalling, the sea rotting, the earth shearing out from under their feet. The world cries for help to anyone who can still hear.
Alone in his castle, a king tries to fight the inevitable. Alfred F. Jones is new to the throne and wants to do right by his kingdom, but things continue to worsen under his rule: the queen's throne remains empty beside him, and the token he once dreamed of gifting his queen has been stolen right out from under him.
But of all this, Arthur does not care. As the last of the Kirklands, he has plans for revenge, ambitions that would end in slaughter, dreams of blood splatter on his face and hands - and he was being asked to save the kingdom?
Oh, what a piteous land, to have its savior be a thief, a pirate... a murderer.
