Directly uploaded from the pens of Mutant leaders Professor X and Magneto to a personal database for ease of recall and virtual immortality, all following procured letters, articles, paraphernalia, and otherwise propaganda exchanged between the two individuals during their split between Krakoa and Arakko will be transcribed into English by the superior ability of Orchis.
Or, Charles and Erik have been apart since Erik has stepped down from the Quiet Council of Krakoa in favor of retiring to Arakko. They've found themselves resorting to classics, as always; the written word, resulting in a growing collection of letters between the two during their time away from each other. Some of these have unfortunately fallen into the hands of the enemy.

Summary
This defense mechanism is a recently adopted habit of his. Nothing about Erik lately has given him any indication that he wouldn’t be open for a conversation. In fact, it’s shocking how open Erik has been. He expected something different… He’s not even sure what. Perhaps a few awkward first steps between them, considering how little they have talked to each other lately. Not for lack of trying, no, but simply… Charles had been too busy. Erik was presumed dead, and before, he had been ruling a nation. How could they even begin to talk?

Now, though, it was hard to believe there was a time they didn’t live like this, so fully intertwined with each other. Erik felt like a lovesick teenager but he was a man—at this point—well into his seventies with his partner just a year or so behind him.
“What are you thinking about?” Charles asked, quietly as Erik slipped into bed next to him.
“You know what I’m thinking about,” Erik replied softly, pressing a kiss to Charles’s nose before lying down next to him.
“Careful, don’t catch whatever I have,” Charles warned softly
