While Taehyung can’t quite argue with his parents that he’d prefer to have another second in command, he’s let Jeongguk know enough times that he doesn’t react now.
“It is important to me. Which is why I think going with you is a good idea. If we are going to work together, we should probably get along.”
Taehyung can’t help but laugh, even if Jeongguk is right. He tries not to think about it too much, always pushing it off to deal with later but he can’t deny that it will be hard to work with Jeongguk when they both hate each other so much. “It’s a little too late for that, Jeongguk.”
Jeongguk lowers his back against the water, looking up at the sky above. “Probably. I can’t quite say I will enjoy being by your side as your second hand, but it is my duty.”

Summary
Taehyung somehow found himself as a contestant on a variety show, and he was doing well. The only unfortunate thing was that he had to be away from home for months on end. That was why he was excited to finally go back to his own home, his own bed. His friends. Everything was all fine and good until he met the employee who worked at one of his best friend's cafes. The guy, Jeongguk, had to have hated him because he could barely spare Taehyung a glance.
Their friends noticed and confronted Jeongguk. Jeongguk then took the time to actually get to know Taehyung and he found out that he liked him. A lot. But the problem was that Jeongguk had been giving his all to his already established relationship that was being held together by a thread. Well, his partner decided that they can fix their relationship by placing a bet revolving around Taehyung. Jeongguk wanted to do whatever he could to mend his relationship. But he ends up regretting it. Immensely. So much so, that Jeongguk worried if there was any hope in saving whatever semblance of a relationship he and Taehyung had.

Summary
See the thing is, Taehyung has a type. It goes something like this: gorgeous bad boy with tattoos and piercings and a body like a god turns out to have a big heart and is super soft and sweet once you break past the intimidating outer layer. Bonus points if he rides a motorbike and/or rescues stray kittens. Alternatively: Enemies to lovers, slow burn, 100k with a side helping of bed sharing.
Most of the time he only comes across his ideal man in music videos or highly detailed daydreams revolving around men from those very same music videos, or occasionally on Instagram… in the profiles of the men from the music videos.
He certainly wasn’t prepared to find him behind the checkout till at his local supermarket, struggling to find the barcode on Taehyung’s fifth packet of crisps.

Or: Jungkook is stunning, adorable, hot, cute, sexy, funny, and the sweetest, kindest, most perfect man alive - and therefore, , he is also way out of Taehyung's league, whatever Jimin might say. However, ADHD disaster gay that he is, that's not going to stop him spending his entire weekly budget on cheese just to have an excuse to talk to him.
