It’s the time back home, trying to heal and gain back what you’ve lost, both physically and mentally that’s the hardest. Once the heavy drugs from the hospital wears off it’s just you and your recovery. Tim knows better of course; he’s been here before.

Summary
Because Tim is a gentleman, he walks Lucy to her apartment door, and because he almost died today, multiple times, Lucy grabs his hand and pulls him inside despite her earlier comment of wanting to take things slow.
“I thought you wanted to wait,” Tim murmurs, and Lucy smiles as she shakes her head slowly. She tucks a lock of hair behind her ear and entwines her fingers with his as she tugs on his hand, and whatever calm Tim had managed to find on their date goes straight out the window when the door clicks shut behind him.
“I did,” she whispers, and Tim stares at her, his lips parted and pupils blown wide with arousal, as she begins walking backward through her apartment. “But then you almost died today and I realized that there’s no point in waiting. You’re it for me, Tim Bradford, and we’ve already wasted so much time. I’m not wasting another second.”

He opened his eyes lazily and moved to get up. It wasn't until then that he realized he wasn't at home. There was a canopy over the bed he was in and a lot more natural light in the room than he was used to. His eyes flew to his right. “Holy shit,” he sighed as his eyes landed on Lucy’s bare back, the side of her right breast teasing him by being only half hidden underneath her body. He lifted up the sheet covering him and looked down to his lap. He was naked. He had had sex. He and Lucy had had sex.
