Instead, one hour-long dinner has him feeling sixteen again, instincts frayed and exposed. He’d been dangerously close to slicking up from nothing more than eye contact. It’s mortifying.
And now Harry will be around even more, helping his dad with the dresser. But Louis is determined not to let that happen again. He has a presentation to finish. He’ll stay glued to his laptop, buried in work, too busy to let Harry infiltrate his thoughts.
He drops into his nest with a soft sigh, the baby-soft comforter curling around him, protectively. He stares up at the glow-in-the-dark stars on his ceiling, chest rising and falling slowly.
If he can just avoid Harry, everything will be fine.
It has to be.
Or, the one where Louis comes home for the holidays to his home town of Brickwood, a small mountain town that he left years ago without looking back. His stressful job means no holiday is his own. He has a big presentation to finish and a deadline that he can't miss. But change and his family and the alpha that he was hopelessly in love with before he left threaten to ruin everything for him. But it may not be such a bad thing after all.

Harry blinked, trying to collect his thoughts. This was Atticus’ mom.
“Oh, and here!” Louis pushed the bin forward. “I baked chocolate chip cookies! I love to bake, so I’ll bring something to every practice. Oh, and I’ll also make the snack bags for our games.” He pried the lid off, pushing the container further towards Harry. “Try one! You like sweets, right? And no allergies?”
Harry hated sweets.
But, he nodded anyway and took a cookie, because he’d probably say yes to anything this omega asked.

Louis felt a bit distracted by the movement of the alphas lips, wet and pink. He gulped. “You can’t just pick up a stranger like that!”
His green eyes flashed mischievously. “When I see a poor little helpless omega like you, I have to help. It’s in my nature.” Signs of another smug look tugged at his lips.
