Meanwhile, Vox just blew up himself and the entire universe and suddenly stands before a second chance. He simply has no idea what that second chance entails.

His fingers wrapped around Vox's neck. Not squeezing, not yet, but firmly enough for Vox to understand that this wasn't a caress. His thumb rested right where his pulse beat, where Vox's throat swallowed with difficulty.
"I wish" Alastor whispered, so cold that the air between them seemed to freeze "that you hadn't fallen in love with me. That you didn't love me."
Vox opened his mouth. To say something. To cry, perhaps. To ask him not to say that.
But Alastor continued, and his fingers trembled slightly against the other's skin.
"So I wouldn't have to deal with your pathetic obsession."

In his pitiful state, who else but Alastor would be there to pick up the abandoned pieces?In which Alastor takes home Vox's headless corpse and Vox's demise comes with unforeseen consequences for Pride as a whole.
