Mike looked around at the party with red-rimmed eyes as they began to pack and leave, placing their player manuals in their designated spot.
Mike paused before placing his, reading the names of Will and his friends and reminding himself that it was over, they were all safe now. All of the pain was finally over but so was Eleven’s story.
Holly and her new party barrelled past him on their way down, chattering excitedly about a campaign they would start. Mike smiled to himself as he closed the basement door behind him. The basement door that shimmered slightly in the darkness, like it didn’t fully exist.
