Taehyung heard the soft rustle of fabric as Jungkook shifted on the bench, turning to face him more fully. He could feel the warmth radiating from Jungkook's body and could sense his steady presence just inches away.
Taking a deep breath, Taehyung slowly raised his hands. They trembled slightly, a physical manifestation of the nervous energy thrumming through him. He hesitated momentarily, his hands hovering in the space between them.
"I'm right here," Jungkook murmured encouragingly, his voice impossibly gentle.
With those words, Taehyung bridged the final distance. His fingertips touched Jungkook's skin as if the world around them had faded away. All that existed was the point of connection between them, the warmth of Jungkook's cheeks beneath Taehyung's palms.
