Kuroko had a habit nobody other than Kagami (and Aomine) knew about.
It came to Kagami as a surprise, too. Kuroko seemed like such a stable guy, his life put together by sheer determination and strong will. It was only after they moved in together that he became aware of this tick Kuroko possessed.

Summary
The people of this society maintain a fixed male to female ratio.
When there are fewer woman, some men change into a female. The same also applies for female in the case where there are fewer male. It's a phenomenon much like what happens to clownfish, and is commonly called 'emergence'. If it should occur, it would usually happen in younger children. A case where it happened to adults was never reported, and the occurrences in teens are very rare.
But it happened to Haruka, the lone female swimmer in the team. How would that change her- or his- relationship with Makoto, who is his- or was her- boyfriend?

Summary
It's been three years since Makoto, Haru, and Rin graduated from high school and Sousuke hasn't been seen or heard from since. But when Makoto literally runs into Sousuke, the broody kid crash lands back into their lives, finally answering the age old question:
What the hell happened to Sousuke?
This is a very slow-building SouRin centered fic, but I see MakoHaru are also hugely important and have their own plot lines. There is a lot of angst, a lot of relationship building, and sprinkles of fluff. Basically this is how I want to conclude each of the characters' stories in Free!.
