Summary
Simon is dead. Or rather, is dying. He is part of a tree, now. Who knows how far gone he is. It doesn’t matter. Whatever speaks to him seems to think otherwise, however.
Grace wakes up from a nightmare. One where his bio dome is no longer a pleasant beach, but a blood ocean on an alien planet without stars. He sees a tree burst out of the ocean, and it rivals Earth’s redwoods in height. When he wakes, it is to find that the tree in the ocean is real.
